Hi, I'm Kate!

Firstly, welcome!

I'm not much for organization so here are some random bits about me:

I'm your average 20 something year old.

This past year, 2013, I married the love of my life and gave birth to my beautiful daughter. I moved countries.. twice.. and tried being a stay at home mom for three months but God whispered to me that that was not the career he wanted me to pursue, so I went back to school part-time in January.

I absolutely love to bake just about anything! You will most likely see on here my favourite recipes, recipes I've tweaked or my miserably failed concoctions. I'm slowly learning how to cook, so bare with me on this journey of ups and downs.

Recently I have dabbled in photography and am trying to learn as much as I can. All of the photos are photos that I have taken unless it is mentioned below the photograph. If you have any tips or suggestions, just shoot them my way.. haha.. but no, seriously!

Many would say that I have one too many pairs of shoes, or a shoe obsession. My father counted my shoes once and said that if he lined them up heel to sole, he could make a mile out of them. An exaggeration; i'm sure?

I am a Christian, follower of God. Through my faith and trust in God I am able to live the life that He would like me to live. My absolute favourite verse is:

"Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:34 NIV
